CUA is situated in the historic, residential community of

Brookland in northeast Washington, D.C., and is within minutes of the Capitol and the National Mall. The Brookland/CUA
Metrorail station located next to campus provides quick access to resources such as the Library of Congress, National Archives, Smithsonian Institution museum and government agencies, as well as major transportation  centers like Union Station and Ronald Reagan National Airport.

The Washington, D.C., area is also home to marry of the nation's top academic, centers, CUA students have access to scholarly resources such as faculty academic programs and library holdings available at other local institutions through the Consortium of Universities of the Washington Metropolitan Area.
The consortium, comprises 12 colleges and universities: American University, The Catholic University of America Gallaudet University, George Mason University, The George Washington University Georgetown University, Howard, University, Marymount University, Southeastern University, Trinity University, University of the District of Columbia and the University of Maryland.
