Suggested Sequence of Courses for Chemistry & Secondary Education

This program, jointly administered with the Department of Education, combines a sound background in chemistry with the basic education courses required by most school districts for teaching at the high school level.  Chemistry concentrators who wish to avail themselves to this program should consult the undergraduate advisers in both departments as early as possible in their undergraduate careers.  

Freshman Year     CHEM 103/113; CHEM 104/114; MATH 111 or 121; MATH 112 or 122
Sophomore Year:  CHEM 203/213; CHEM 204/214; PHYS 205 or 215/225; PHYS 206 or 216/226
