  Students are encouraged to participate in research projects at all levels.  Both undergraduate and graduate students  are supported by teaching assistantships or stipends.  Many undergraduate students  throughout campus find additional support using Federal Work Study programs.  Second to none, Washington, DC is a premier scientific community.  Surrounded by  prestigious and renown institutions, such as the ACS (American Chemical Society), NIH (National Institutes of Heath), NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration), AAAS ( The American Association for the Advancement of Science), AWIS (The Association for Women in Science), NIST (National Institute of Standards), NRL (National Research Laboratory), NHGRI (National Human Genome Research Institute) and SI (The Smithsonian Institute). 

The Catholic University campus  is a thriving environment  for fostering scholarship and working relationships with these extraordinary research facilities.   Students have access to a Consortium of Universities and libraries:  American University, George Washington University, Georgetown University,  Maryland University, Howard University, George Mason, Johns Hopkins,  as well as our own Theological College.    Our campus, close to Capitol Hill, provides easy access to the  LOC (Library of Congress).
